NSPII Foundation

The National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII) has created a charitable giving foundation called the NSPII Foundation. Its Mission Statement is as follows:
The National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators Foundation is the charitable arm of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII), which is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of providing support, education, and training to individuals who demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism in conducting insurance investigation. The Foundation has been established to promote education, training and other support services in the realm of insurance investigation through project funding, grants, and scholarships. The goal of the Foundation is to educate the public about the problem of insurance fraud and to do everything possible to prevent insurance fraud, and to mitigate the societal and economic cost of insurance fraud, with support provided through funds raised from the public and private sectors, including government, corporate and private donations, distributed to worthy educational and training projects and programs, and public interdiction agencies such as fire department and other law enforcement offices.
The NSPII Foundation is formally recognized as a tax exempt, 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. The group is comprised of four Past Presidents of NSPII: Chuck Jennings of Jennings Taylor Wheeler & Haley; Al Matheny, Cincinnati Insurance Co.; Miles Watters, State Farm Insurance Co.; and Warren Keller of Taylor, Keller, Dunaway & Tooms. Jonathan Libbert of Johnson, Cambra & Libbert, Inc. serves as its Treasurer.

“Doing the right thing matters to companies of all sizes,” said Stephen W. Miller, 2006 NSPII President. “In addition to training professionals in the insurance fraud field, we are dedicated to shaping the future. The future involves prevention and we must work collectively to promote awareness and prevent fraud at the source.”

Plans are underway to pilot programs that serve constituents who reside in NSPII area chapters located in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. Interested associations, schools and other civic groups that need presentations, guest speakers and specific resource help in the insurance fraud prevention area are asked to contact NSPII. Experts and discretionary funding may be available.  Please click  here for a copy of the Grant Application that needs to be completed.  Send the completed Application to Mary Beth Robinson at (nspii@columbus.rr.com) or mail it to P.O. Box 88, Delaware, OH  43015.

“Our dedication extends beyond normal organizational borders,” said Warren Keller, 2007 NSPII Foundation President. It is a pleasure to do work that makes a difference.” The NSPII Foundation is already the recipient of several well-intended donations.
